some photos from the wedding

Yay, happy groom.

This tradition symbolizes that both people will wear the pants equally in the relationship. That's why it's over both chairs.

When I get married, the pants are only going to be over my chair.

Kidding!

This is half of the banquet hall where the wedding was held. In total there were 500 guests.

Cake cutting.

I ended up catching the bouquet. As a result, I was dragged onstage, where the MC asked me a bunch of probing questions in front of 500 strangers.

The bride's second gown for the night. Every appearance was preceded by lots of dramatic build-up. The couple has already been legally married in the US for two months, so they were very relaxed during the ceremony.

MC: "So Niniane, how did you like the shark fin soup?"

N: "Erm, well........Hey, did you know in the US they have imitation shark fin soup that tastes just as good?"

Everyone else: "OMG, who invited this freak?!!"

Nice pics :-)

500 people??

WTF Who actually has 500 people that they care about.

Typical Chinese Show Offs.

if they have the money - why shouldn't they spend it? it's not like they're gonna be able to take it with them when they're dead. if they can afford to show off - props and enjoy.

Everyone I know that has a wedding has to make sacrifices when it comes to wedding guests. Keep in mind that its not always your or your fiances friends, that theres also old family friends or friends of parents. I'm sure it sounds silly but weddings are not always just for the bride and groom, theres always friends from both parents that watched you grow up and want to see your big day.

Screw those leaches.

Opulence At it's worst.

Killing sharks for wedding soup.

Having people fly around the world for their litle show.

What a waste of world resources.

Selfish to say the least.

But as we say,, If you have money the world is your oyster. To hell with future generations.

I am rich so I shall do the same.

So you're using a device thats worth 300 square meals to accuse others of being opulent.

In a world where hundreds of millions cant cant get enough to eat.

Kind of reeks of hypocrisy dont you think?

Metal,

Please detail how 300 square meals = hypocrisy.

I do not get the comment in relation to a 500 person wedding party.

no wait I did quote the right guy.

I'm assuming the computer used to make that comment cost roughly six hundred dollars.

And I'm saying that a computer is not a necessity in any measure. So to accuse others of opulence and to spend $600 on something thats in my opinion a complete luxury is hypocracy.

Hey in the last picture it looks like you draped the photographer's pants over the chairs! That's pretty cool that they are willing to go far above the call of duty at weddings! :)

Yes, clearly there can only exist one pair of khaki pants in the world. Hehe.

Niniane posts about catching the bouquet at a wedding, and nobody has proposed marriage to her yet?

Anonymous said...

I would but I'm Asian.

I kid. I kid.

Man, dragging old posts out of the woodwork is fun.
