poster I ran across tonight

I've been waxing nostalgic about Caltech, since I'm going there in a week to give a recruiting tech talk.

Tonight I ran across this.

This made me LOL. Ah, Techers, you big goofballs.

I don't recognize this room. The table and bookshelves look like the Dabney House library, but the furniture configuration doesn't fit.

Must be tough recruiting seniors at Caltech. There are only about 200 seniors per class and a larger percentage of graduates go the graduate/professional school.

I think you would enjoy despair.com.

I think their mugs are the best.

it's ruddock. you can sort of see it written on the crc top edge. plus the books are way too pristine in condition to be a darb's

The photo and the slogan is *so* brillaint. Could you point us to a larger version somewhere. Please.

A lot of these types of posters are a direct spoof of despair.com and certainly a parody of those corporate inspirational posters.

The latest despair.com blog entry is too funny:

Ruddock sounds right. I think the guy in the poster is a Rudd. It's definitely not Dabney.

The tagline is directly from a Despair poster:

It was probably made with the Despair poster generator:

All they really needed to do was insert a photo. I see the demotivational posters so much more often than the motivational ones -- but the motivational ones still show up in the skymall, so somebody must be buying them.

sorry to post something irrelevant -but my Gmail has been hacked into and the HQ phone number doesn't let me speak to anyone. I've reported "someone has broken into my account" 5 times. I've contacted the police and the FBI, all are saying I need to contact Google. I need help fast! I work in online video and my career is contingent on that account! I need help fast.
