I discovered your blog while idly following some links about Isaac Asimov. Reading your post about him before reading this one made me wonder if you recalled that at the Philadelphia Navy Yard during World War II, Heinlein, Sprague de Camp, and Asimov used to pass the time inventing fanciful puns and pseudoscientific elaborate jokes. Among these was the definition of a new unit of measurement, the millihelen, defined as the amount of beauty sufficient to launch a single ship.
