Your brother's party must have resulted in unidentifiable stains on the current couches. Pretty gross, huh?
You can always keep the coffee table and put the ottoman elsewhere in the room and use as needed...assuming you are not the type to use the ottoman daily.
Do you often put food/drinks on the coffee table? If it's just magazines there, I say go with the ottoman, maybe get a side table or two for the occasional coffee.
OTOH, if you and your guests aren't fans of putting your feet up, you could skip the ottoman.
If you are a big fan of the wall color, get a slightly darker couch. Otherwise, paint your walls a little darker/warmer and get a light colored couch. Contrast is the keyword.
Either way you go, pick a couch that has longer sections of back rests and base. This one looks like a couple of big chairs put together. Stay away from leather. Don't listen to the sycophants who like the couch. Get an ottoman; watching movies/reading are much more comfortable.
Humm. I wouldnt buy the center piece, it would be harder to clean because of the surface. And it doesnt look as comfortable for short people but more comfy for big tall people who can sink into the couch. I'd sit in it first to see if it works. And that side piece, I'd see if I could lay down on it, seems like the pillow would get in the way. It looks like wasted space. The design of the new couch doesn't look that good.
......... so so
ReplyDeletethat leaves little space unless you like clutter around.
ReplyDeleteI like it.
ReplyDeleteYou should have your brother throw a party for you and ask the people who come how they like the couch.
ReplyDeleteI recommend getting a mongolian instead of an ottoman, they take up less space.
ReplyDeleteSo, comments are moderated? You like censorship, don't you?
ReplyDeleteIs this something you picked up at Google, world domination and, ultimately, censorship?

It is ok but not great.

The new couch looks like a radical improvement. The accompanying ottoman looks pointless, perhaps getting in the way too much.
