Awe-inspiring was the 33 year old Oksana Chusovitina who won the silver on the vault in this Olympics 2008. For those of you who don't know gymnastics, this is roughly the equivalent of a 55 year old man winning silver in the 100m dash -- It simply doesn't happen, but she did because she is awesome!
In 2002 Korbut was charged with shoplifting, for which she paid a fine and completed a diversion program in lieu of prosecution. She was also investigated after $30,000 in counterfeit money was found in an abandoned house that she once owned, and whose last occupant was her son
