i miss Tom

Tom and I have both been busy, so I haven't seen him much over the past two months, except for my dad's birthday.

I miss his goofiness.

My friend "Fred" told me yesterday that his brother is moving to a different city. He wasn't too affected. This mindset of not being close to your siblings is foreign to me.

Some photos of the funniest times with Tom:

Provoking an innocent camel.

Eating.

I accidentally forgot my camera at the restaurant, after taking this photo. When I went back the next day to retrieve it, the employees had looked through all my photos, and were especially amused at this one.

LOLing.

  1. How did you survive when you went away to college - didn't you miss Tom then?

Tom is only a phone call away (and it's not like you two live that far from each other!)

  3. I am 12 yrs older than my brother so we are not that close.

I hope my kids (2.9 yr. old son & 7 mo. old daughter) will be as close as you guys are.

  4. I'm an only child, but this post makes me wish I had a younger brother too.

  6. I heart Niniane. In your posts a year or so ago I found you annoying and wrote mean things in the comments section. This post makes me kinda like you. I'm sure I'll still post mean things, but just thought I'd let you know.

  7. re: most recent Anonymous.

Why have you been reading my blog for a year, if you found me annoying?

  8. Most recent Anonymous is masochist, enjoys chinese torture.

OTOH one day Tom will have his own family. No more time for you. What are you going to do?

  10. Must agree with first post (John) here. He's just a phone away :).

The saddest is when both of you have your own lifes and lose touch. The next time you see each other, you both are no longer the same people, he changed and so are you. You are estranged from each other - losing that sense of closeness.
Don't let that ever happen to you!

I used to have a sister like you but now is now....

  11. So, first there was the famous "EA wife," and now there's an "EA sister?"

  12. It's beautiful. You and Tom and your beautiful moments. There is so much humor and so much love.

    Lovely.

And, just an observation, I think, the anon, that you replied to probably wrote that to grab your attention and make you reply :)

    Pretty neat, I would say.

  13. Niniane, are you new to the internets? People spend hours upon hours commenting on people that annoy them. Besides, you can find someone annoying and yet interesting at the same time.
