costumes

This was the coolest costume I saw at Burning Man. Look at the woman's chestplate!

By contrast, here are Dan and I setting off to look at art on the desert playa.

Actually, Dan looked cool in his hat + cloak, when it was lit-up.

  2. Have you never seen clothing as hands like that before? I'm just curious because there are sooo many entries where you point out something "interesting" and it's actually something I've posted about before, too. I've wanted to post a comment about 10 times about this now.. but I can't tell if these things that interest you are current or if it's just good timing for blog material

  3. re: anonymous. If I've seen clothing as hands before, I don't remember it.

  4. I've seen, say, jeans with printed-on handprints on 'em.

Shoulda gone with hat B. (I bet it was also big enough to fit a small air conditioning unit in there...)

  5. It's called a breastplate, not a chestplate. Even on men. gah.

  6. Just a hat?! Come on, you are clearly dressed like a spectator. Anything more risque? You've done better for Halloween!

  7. Sucky costume! (you, not Dan). Really, I'd expect someone who went all out as a mermaid to have done a little bit more research on Burning Man.

Hey are you and Dan dating?

  8. Dan and I are not dating.

  9. I saw the big guy in armor trying to perch on a tiny electric scooter on Tuesday. It looked awkward.

Truly Awful Stuff posted hands-as-clothing recently.

  10. Didn't realize that you and Dan went out this year, although I had heard rumors that Dan was out there last year. Was this your first year? Where'd you guys camp?

Next time you guys should drop by Gigsville and say "hi" to me and Erich. If you saw art cars that looked like a Cheshire Cat, a Sandcrawler, or a green travelling bar with a thatched roof, those were us. Also the big red neon "Uberman." And, of course, I skated the rollerderby game.
